Yep. I saw the same. PFF doesn't tell the whole story IMO.

It wasn't about ints at all for me. I saw him get beat repeatedly. He's a smart DB, but losing more speed (which he never was all that fast to begin with), won't make things better.

Of course as I mentioned, the DLINE could be the saving grace there.

If we expect him to win a footrace vs Tyreek Hill, we're in trouble. His value is in knowing where the ball has to go and how to defend it. He wasn't thrown on much last year. It's worth noting that we have increased speed & range at LB (Kyzir, Davis, Tranquill) along with a very good DL. It's a different defensive personnel group. A lot of same faces, several new. It'll be interesting.

Hayward got a new contract before last season - he might have relaxed a bit. That is not unusual.

Reports on his play have been positive this preseason. He might have refocused. You can still be a top notch corner at 29.

Putting any dB in the league one on one against Hill is a recipe for disaster. No one expects that of any single DB IMO.

It will be interesting with the defensive additions, no doubt.

Let's hope 2018 was an anomaly.
We do not play modern football.

Passrush will let Casey be Casey. Great vision, excellent route combo reco, anticipation, and ballskills.

Hey welcome to the board if I missed you before.

Run D should be significantly improved this season.

We were better than avg for the season in 2018. 6th fewest run TDs allowed, 9th fewest ypg, 11th fewest ypa. The Justin Jones improvement, Tillery, Broughton additions, LB changes, additions don't guarantee anything but they look better. I look forward to seeing the 2018 D vs Indy.
