Rivers now 6th all time in NFL history in passing yards, wow what a feat, no wonder Fouts seems to dislike him. Rivers should by the end of next year pass Marino as he's only around 4500 yards behind him for 5th all time after that he'll be 10k yards behind Favre, Manning, Brady and Brees which is another 3 years depending on how long Brady and Brees still play. All this while sitting the bench behind Brees for 2 years.

Fouts is either Captain Obvious or just plain wrong. And, yes, he is kind of hard on 17 ... just a bit jealous I am guessing.

Sunday 10/27/2019 vs.the Bears will be Philip's 216th consecutive start and 81 consecutive starts behind Favre's all time record of 297 which can be broken in 2024 (including playoffs will be Rivers 227th tied with Peyton for 2nd all time, and 94 behind Favre, need a lot of playoff games for PR the next 5 years! playoffs?!).

I wonder what he really thinks when he sees guys out for weeks with hammy and groins and quads and calves. He played a week after surgery. Granted the position is not as physically demanding but there’s a lack of mental toughness on this team that shows up in injury reports and on the field at crucial moments

Sunday 11/03/2019 vs.the Packers will be Philip's 217th consecutive start and 80 consecutive starts behind Favre's all time record of 297 which may be broken in 2024 (including playoffs will be Rivers 228th moving him past Peyton for 2nd all time, and 93 behind Favre, Philip need a lot of playoff games for PR the next 5 years! playoffs?!).

This is very impressive as Philip cream of the 04 class has done this so healthy when their are players like Rodgers class of 05 and Brees class of 01 and Brady class of 00 aren't even in the realm. Matt Ryan of the Falcons was the next closest and just missed his first start last week ending at his streak at 154.

Matt Stafford of the Lions is next at 135 then Russell Wilson of the Seahawks is currently at 120.

Thursday 11/07/2019 vs.the Raiders will be Philip's 218th consecutive start and 79 consecutive starts behind Favre's all time record of 297 which may be broken in 2024 (including playoffs will be Rivers 229th also 2nd all time, and 92 behind Favre's total record of 321. We need a lot of playoff games for PR the next 5 years! PLAYOFFS?!).

This is very impressive as Philip cream of the 04 class has done this healthy (other than a torn ACL) when there are players like Rodgers class of 05 and Brees class of 01 and Brady class of 00 aren't even in the realm.

Matt Stafford (class of 09) of the Lions is next at 136 (if stays healthy he is on pace for 216 in 5 years, drafted 5 years after PR) then Russell Wilson (class of 2012) of the Seahawks is currently at 121 (puts him on pace for 249 in 8 years drafted 8 years after PR), if no Brees on Bolts in 04 and 05 Rivers would not only probably be at 250 right now but way past Marino for total yards.

Rivers will go down in NFL history as having the most unique and weird throwing motion. He got that style of throwing at a young age when the football was just too big for him.

Less than 2 years ago we saw the Giants bench Eli stopping his consecutive starts at 210.

This let Rivers slide into the number one active consecutive start streak.

Earlier this year the second active person behind Rivers, Matt Ryan of the Falcons was sat for a high ankle sprain.

Now the second active person behind Rivers, Matt Stafford is being sat for broken bones in his back even though he said he feels fine and was throwing 60 yard bombs in practice.

This now makes the second active person Russel Wilson who if he stays healthy is on pace to break Favre's record way faster/easier/younger age than Rivers could due to Rivers sat his first 2 years.

Monday 11/18/2019 vs.the Chiefs will be Philip's 219th consecutive start and 78 consecutive starts behind Favre's all time record of 297 which could be broken in 2024 (including playoffs will be Rivers 230th also 2nd all time, and 91 behind Favre's total record of 321, We need a lot of playoff games for PR the next 5 years! PLAYOFFS?!).

Russell Wilson (class of 2012) of the Seahawks is now currently 2nd active place at 122 (nearly 100 behind but puts him on pace for 249 which pace is 30 ahead of PR in 8 years drafted 8 years after PR), if no Brees on Bolts in 04 and 05 Rivers could have been at 251 right now.

Ben - Even before the elbow surgery, Big Ben looks more like Fat Ben, he looked out of shape and 30-50 pounds over what his playing weight should be. Unlikely to play much longer.

Philip - Came into training camp looking ripped, bigger than in previous years but it looks like all muscle. I have been impressed by how "in-shape" and "on top of his game" he looks this year.
If Rivers had a solid OL and great coaching/play calling, he might be able to play long enough to catch Favre....... But sadly Rivers has had way too many seasons where he gets the crep beat out of him..... like this year....

It's amazing Rivers ranks as high as he has considering he has always played for very conservative coaches who would switch to a running game as soon as we have a lead....... Rivers has never had an aggressive/greedy coach who liked to run up the score on bad teams like Brees, Brady, P. Manning, ....etc have had maybe Marino too.....

Rivers has been forced to rack up yardage just to keep up with all the scoring his defense usually allowed..... and to make up for mistakes, fumbles, INT's, etc......

Sunday 11/30/2019 vs. the Broncos will be 37 years young Philip's 220th consecutive start and 77 consecutive starts behind Favre's all time record of 297 which could be broken in 2024 (including playoffs will be Rivers 231st also 2nd all time, and 90 behind Favre's total record of 321, need a lot of playoff games for PR the next 5 years!).

Rivers also set an NCAA record of 51 consecutive starts at N.C. State.

I have a feeling he didn't miss any high school starts either!
