Week 1 : The Good, The Bad, The Ugly. DEF version

    Play #1: The Good
Loving how multiple players shed blocks and fly to the ball

    Play #2: The Bad
pretty much the opposite of the play #1. Nobody sheds a block

    Play #3: The Ugly
There was a number of plays where Melvin Ingram did not seal his edge, this one he looked very lost

I really enjoy doin this, so if there is any other pays you DieHards wanna see hit me up

On #1 King played under control and didn't overpursue or launchwhiff, one of my biggest bugaboos...On #2, Phillips was clean, then got dirty and blocked out, allowing the RB to turn the corner for big yardage...you would think a vet like Phillips would do better than this. Look, here he is, just before he allows himself to get blocked out:

These just highlight how stressful this game was, never knew play to play what these guys were gonna do. Tough, tough game.

Right on NMC. Will scrutinize later. DET does the same shit though with play action.
We do not play modern football.

Hopefully you can do this every week.
It makes for a great 0ne-two punch with cat's work.

Each week has a new story to tell.

What I noticed on all three plays, was how early Kyzir read the plays.

I am bullish on our defense because I am supremely confident that Kyzir (first game at MIKE) and TDavis (first game in our D) will grow together.

As happens every year with personnel and scheme, they will play faster, as the season progresses.
We do not play modern football.

              agree Wood.

I had the choice between Melvin Ingram and Thomas Davis for ugly play: Both had wrong 1st steps and led to big gains. I think TD will improve with more play in the system. Super Mel should know better.

              Loving #44 he flies

To elaborate, Kyzir was early on the good plays, and not as early on the bad. He's the MIKE. He's the key.
