    Sky Ain't Falling

Meh, we've played three solid playoff teams at pretty full strength (Luck who?), when we've been gashed with injuries, and played them close. Won one, lost two. It is a game of inches and players who are great and players who are just good enough, we have a few too many of the latter.

On the plus side some may still develop, and we do get a couple great ones back later in the season. As someone posted in the game thread, there's still a lot of football left to play. Bolt up!

Yeah it's not falling but it sure isn't rosy either. I think we still make the playoffs after a lackluster first half of the season and then make a push as injured superstars come back.

The Chargers were 1-2, 1-1 in the conference, at this point last season and managed to win 12 games.

One thing, these are damn good teams were playing this season, very complete and well coached. Hidden downside of finishing 12-4.

Honestly, it remains to be seen how good any of these teams are. I think the Lions are pretty mediocre, despite their 2-0-1 record.

There's a pretty big gap between the teams we've played and the likes of KC and NE, who I would consider "damn good" teams.

The 3 teams we have played are NOT solid playoff teams.......DET has beaten 2 bad teams and tied a horrible team..... those and MIA are the easiest teams on our schedule...... The chargers are flat out not very good.....

Bottom line is we have always thought of the Chargers as a great Offense..... we are not anymore..... We need a real TE who can help move the chains.... this current offense is way way too slow compared to other teams offenses..... we don't have the speed that scares anyone..... you can't win many games today only scoring, 10, 14, 17 points per game...... we used to score around 30 points per game.... which is what it takes to win with todays offense oriented rules......

Even our coaches know this team is not good enough, which is why they had our CB's playing 10 yards off the LOS...... scared of them throwing deep....

Our coaches think playing close games is a good thing...... like it's a goal..... our goal should be to blow people out......

This is eerily similar to the collapse that happened when Mike McCoy was here.

Isn't that why they hired Lynn in the first place, to stop all of this?
