No, that's Lamp's man swatting the rock. Lamp doing a nice job blocking here--can't control a D-lineman reaching up for the block...

Gordon has two options which would off resulted in positive yardage one is follow the yellow arrow and he gets at least positive 2 or 3 yards the other thing which is typical Gordon is ride up the back of the two blocker double teaming on that block and maybe get one or two yards. Eckler I believe would get 3 or 4 yards with his quickness following the yellow arrow, JJ gets 4 or more with his quickness, vision and elusiveness. Gordon is at his best when he has a big hole and builds up speed.
      is this the play ?

      blame should be placed on:
Trent Scott - he blocked nobody
Michael Schofield - he pulled to block the DE and missed the LB in the hole
Dan Feeney - tried to get to 2nd level but there was nobody to block there
Melvin Gordon - He tried to cutback and didnt see the DE crashing down. Even if Scott blocks the DE there is another LB in B gap.

If Schofield hit the LB first, Green holds the DE long enough then Gordon would have had a small hole to pound it through. Still the crashing DE (Bud Dupree?) not blocked by Scott would have got Gordon anyway.

Yep...Scott messed up big time--didn't even attempt to block Dupree...looks like Scott got mixed up on his assignment...but a player needs to adjust...awful game awareness by Scott...

How do you know Scott had backside end? Looks like zone blocking on the left with a G scheme on the right. So either RG should wrap to PS backer or Y should veer release to PS backer and BS EMOL isn't an issue then, plus it sets up boot later. BS wasn't issue, PS was. LT should have sealed BS ILB though, which he didn't.
