TN Week 7: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

Had a few positive observations in here:

-- Bosa - this was the first time I've gone to a game & seen him play. This guy is an absolute beast. He really tore it up in the 3rd quarter. During a commercial break, saw him talking some smack with one of the Titans' OL. Nothing big, but the ref obviously overheard it & walked over, and they both walked back to their sides. I love this guy, but he can't do it all himself.
-- Ekeler - coaches finally figured out that they needed to get him more involved in the offense. Need to sign him long-term, he's earned it.
-- Henry - so glad to have him back. Made some great catches yesterday.
-- I loved seeing the creativity in finding ways to get Ekeler the ball, but it highlights that MW is not living up to expectations. There's a huge falloff after Allen & Henry. Even saw MG being sent out wide.
-- Guess the plan is for MG to start, JJ to backup when he comes back, and mix in creative ways to get Ekeler involved. But in reality, MG is just an average running back. What I saw yesterday looked like Ryan Mathews. Can't find holes, can't follow blockers, and can't get to the outside fast enough. Mind you, I know the run blocking isn't great, but he just doesn't have it.
-- Unfortunately, last year was the peak for this core group of players. There are just too many holes. We'll be picking in the top 5.

It might be tough to be top-5 this year with so many other bad teams. This team could screw things up, win a couple times in philcember and finish 5-11 or something and end up like pick 8 or 9.

          I agree with this.
Fire the coaches and get a D-minded HC for once.

I saw some coverage gaffs too from Drew.
But Tranquill, Egbule. Kyzir, Nwosu...that's our future @ LB.

I hope the coaching them up does NOT consist of: "Okay guys, it's 3rd and 12 - go stand 12 yards from the line of scrimmage and wait for the receiver to catch a pass and come to you before tackling him"

Nwosu has flashed. Caused a fumble and tipped the pass that Teamer intercepted yesterday. Good nose for the ball.

The others are good special teamers. That may be the ceiling.

Lol. Yep. I was assuming sans Bradley sooner rather than later.

no..... sorry but we have a DC minded HC...... that is why we are so horrible in red zone.....

DC's as HC's suck overall...... only great one was bellycheat... who believes in being aggressive on offense and defense.......

almost all DC's want to be aggressive on defense and super super conservative on offense...... which keeps games close and forces perfect play in order to win...... any mistakes lose you games....

Offensive minded HC's tend to hire aggressive DC's......

look at the greatest HC's in recent history(guys who win overall and win in playoffs):

Bellycheat -dynasty DC but aggressive on both sides...
                      Walsh - dynasty
                      Holmgrin -
                      Gibbs -
                      Reid -
                      Peyton -
                      Coryell -
                      Shanahan - both
                      etc.....

Now try and name a great DC who also wants an QB oriented aggressive high scoring offense????
only one comes to mind...... bellycheat.....

Agree Bosa is our best player. I doubt he wants to stay here after his contract is due.
