FYI, Fluker is a starter in Seattle with a rookie center. And the are running the ball on Minnesota. How is it he is still a starter after we did not resign him. I thought we know how to develop a top 12 player in draft

Could you imagine if we got Pete Carroll back when he was available

opening massive holes for Carson to sprint through, but DJ Fluker was not good enough for Chargers

Starting to agree with this line of thinking...next year will be a rebuilding year anyways, so might as well draft an OT early, and an OG in round 3-4 or so, maybe even take a flyer on a T at end of draft...

I feel about the same but wouldn't be opposed to trading back into RD1 later or getting a QB RD2 if somebody fell.
Barring that I'd hope they bring in some other QB castoffs to compete with Tyrod and Stick, maybe sign Kyle Lauletta off PHI's practice squad... even if he can't cut it, he might be good for a helicopter freeway pursuit on the 405 some night.

Letting Tyrod and Stick play for two seasons and then thinking about getting your franchise QB means the team would be 4-5 years away from being a contender, at a minimum. No team in the league signs up for that.

I was really hoping for that, but a ton of people here were dead set against it based on what he did in his previous NFL coaching stints.

Agree,... seems like morons way of thinking to me.

Not exactly. Look at the teams who made the playoffs/ won SB with an average of below average QB play. What do they have in common? Top tier run game, top tier defense, clutch kicker.

Yeah but we never gonna get a top tier OL for a run game. and you need a stroller top teir defense. All this defenses were #1. Dilfer went 4 weeks without scoring a TD lol.

He was drafted as Tackle, but plays much better at Guard.

Chargers cannot see it, cannot coach it, cannot benefit from it
