Most importantly, realize that Oline woes are not unique to LAC. Plug and play draftees are few and far between. The college game does not develop pro ready Olinemen. The NFL CBA does not allow for full scale practices that develop Olinemen. There is scarcity. Anyone you draft will have the same growing pains of Feeney, Quessenberry, Lamp, Tevi and Pipkins. They at least have some NFL snaps under their belt. FAs are expensive.
this is exactly why drafting the next franchise QB and spending that $25-$30M on high performing FA OL vets who have already learned the pro game is such a wise strategy by me . Spend 2 #1s plus a 3rd to move up. TT can't draft a 3rd round player usually anyway, thats usually his throw-away pick.

      My target is Scharff.
And I strongly disagree with those who label Okung as "injury prone."

In 10 seasons, he has started 16 games once, so I'm going to call him an iron man like Rivers. But he has not missed significant time prior to this year for a while.

What is your prognosis for next year ?

The common theme is that Okung has clots,
therefore he cannot be relied upon.

He IS managing things with meds.

Why on earth is he not considered the key part of an Oline rebuild ?

I would hope Okung is with us next year, but given his recent health issue, we need a backup plan. Since Tevi and Scott can't be relied upon, we need two tackles, one a high draft pick, and another in FA. Since Feeney, Lamp and Scho are also question marks, we also need 2 guards. I would suggest one in the draft and another in FA. If we see a good T or G in the mid rounds, double dip, and that's one less FA to sign.

Yes. This is exactly what I disagree with.

Was Rivers 7 for 7 in forth Qtr against Denver? while Lynn and the OC were playing Rock Paper Scissors to figure out a play or Timeout!

                just saying.

Ps. I do like Lynn, just not as Head Coach. He was not ready to deal with TT and Dean.

He had 3 penalties yesterday. Played like a rookie.

I'm not sure where Okung's head is at re: football. That said, Pipkens is his replacement.

Last year was a sign this team needed new coaches. To get humiliated by NE was a wake up call. I think Rivers realized it was time to move on from Chargers.

Unless one falls in your lap at the draft, I would not try to draft a franchise QB this upcoming off season (ie: don't trade up for one). Focus on the trenches, LB and CB for two years. Let Tyrod/Stick play for two seasons then plan for your franchise QB.

                        I saw Russell's performance yesterday.

                        Holding ?
(I also saw the officials' performance.)

                        Pipkens ?
                        Nyet...I mean not yet.
