I wonder if the Jags are gonna trade N. Foles ?

I read something on Twitter yesterday that blew my mind.

Add 4 points to the Chargers score in each of the last 64 games,
and their record would be 58-6.

4 points ! That would be one touchdown instead of a field goal in only one of the trips to the red zone per game.

If we just improve our red zone offense,
      it will have profound impact.
We do not play modern football.

That's crazy! Thanks for some positive spin to help keep me on an even keel.

Our red zone woes have been a known problem for a long time.

Now that whiz is gone, the question is whether another OC can get this resolved with Rivers at the helm.

Interesting! Whos to blame for that? Obviously we have had different coaches and seems to be the same result.

              Why would anyone think that?

With few exceptions, this problem predates Brees, much less Rivers.

We have been bad in the red zone by and large for decades. Which is why we are considered a "choke" franchise because we don't make money plays.

Bolts had some good redzone scoring percentages with LT here. In fact we were the top team in 04,05 and 06. I think in 08,09,10,11 we were top 10. We scored quite a bit with those teams. I think fans are extra sensitive now because we got so spoiled with those teams and our ability to score. Rivers was part of that. I think fans are mourning that production. Obviuosly none of that matters if we are not producing the high caliber wins in the post season.

I’m not sure about that. LT was a red zone monster

Agreed, some of those teams (especially 2006) have kept us a bit spoiled.

I still think we just need to rip off the bandaid and start this rebuild. Put in our time wandering thru the wilderness and just get it done. No point in delaying it.

I used to love the old LT rollout and pass into the EZ for an easy TD...he was such a threat, they'd stack the box and try to stuff him, and then, voila! The old running back pass trick!

Yes. When Marty/Norv fed LT we were good.

We did have some struggles during the LT years, but I would wager your statement holds out. That is, our woes escalated post-LT.

                          8/12 for a career.

Good and all, but not a staple.
