partly true.... We won alot of fluke games in 2018..... we were not great, we were very lucky....... we had alot of the same issues as this year..... horrible play calling in red zone(look how many plays it took to score from the one against the ravens?)...... we couldn't tackle well, ....we could not stop the run, .....we could not really stop anyone from scoring if they really needed to...... NE showed everyone we could not tackle......
2018 we had an easier schedule ..... 2019 we had a harder schedule.......DEN, Raiders and other teams got better....... Chargers were not better, in fact we got worse because of Injuries to key players we needed.......

If Chargers players cant run as fast, jump as high etc as opponents that is due to talent....... and that's on TT....... But when players consistently commit penalties, take bad angles, blow assignments, miss blocks, fumble, taunt, tweet insults to the opposition before games, stupidly attempting to return kicks from inside of end zone instead of giving Rivers the 25?.......etc that is on the coaches for not keeping all that crap under control..... coaches are in charge of discipline.......

If it was just one or a few players making all the mistakes then I would say its on the players and coach needs to get rid of them......

BUT if its many players/different players every week making the same/different blunders, etc, then that is on the coaching.......

Maybe its not Lynn, maybe its the other coaches, but he is supposedly in charge...... in fairness to Lynn, he did not choose his staff..... he was forced to accept them..... maybe he will have more control in future since TT seems to love him as a leader and HC so much......?

I don’t hate Rivers, but it does make me sad watching our QB make completely head-scratching throws in crunch time that repeatedly cost us the game. Not that we don’t have other problems, we do, but is what it is.

        "COACHING

Analysis: Anthony Lynn deserves credit for keeping the team competitive during a flurry of injuries to start the season, but that was against a weak schedule. They were the betting favorite in the first six games of the season, and had plenty of talent to win those games. The Chargers failed to execute in crunch time and were inconsistent on both sides of the football. They never found an identity in 2019. That’s not a good look for the head coach, but Lynn bought himself another season for what he did in the first two years. Many head coaches go years before winning their first playoff game and Lynn did it on the road in his second second (wild-card win at Baltimore).

It was an ugly 2019, but Lynn will be back next season. The same can’t be said for the rest of the coaching staff. Lynn will need to decide on whether to retain Gus Bradley as his defensive coordinator. The lack of pass rush and takeaways are red flags, but perhaps Bradley was forced to call cautious defensive plays because of the linebackers’ struggles and the injuries in the secondary. Special teams coordinator George Stewart will also be evaluated, but he might be back because of what he did with the kicking unit, despite not having Badgley for eight games. But the lack of game-changing plays on special teams will likely be a concern for Lynn.

Above everything that is his job, the rest of the team and coaches do things on their own if they are good enough, but his main responsability is to keep things together, organize, lead and motivate.

2019 was just the worst thing that could happen to this organization.

Had we won in Jan 2019 vs the Patriots (say 21-6, 0-0 in the first half, since we outscored them in the 2nd half) and then go into KC and win the AFCCG on a 2 point conversion we would of had a lot more fans and support.

Had we started off better and ended strongly in 2019 and ended 12-4 or 13-3 we would of had more fans and support.

Due to a 5-11 season, the Chargers are the joke of the NFL for having weak support at home (even though the Rams have a similar issue and so will the Raiders in L.V. imo).

Now I feel the players are sick of it as well. I feel Rivers has no desire to resign to play 16 road games. I can see Bosa feeling the same way. I can see all free agents feeling this way.

Had we just built on what we had done in 2018 I'd be excited for 2020 and the new stadium. I have no positivity about this clubs direction and am starting to fall out of love with the Chargers due to all these moves (and the lifelong heartbreak).

I used to think ... what else should Spanos of done, built a new stadium in the sticks of N.S.D. when the Padres were fortunate enough to get a new stadium in the heart of S.D.? Build in the far suburbs and hope to increase the value as there were already a ton of Raider fans invading the S.D. stadium or go to L.A. and hope the value skyrockets since there were Charger fans in O.C. and L.A. already.

But looking back on it now that is the proper course he should have gone, stayed in S.D. imo.

Had they won it all last year and this year then yes it would of been the right move, they could have, would have been the new exciting fan favorite team that a lot of people would have enjoyed.

But for this organization to make all these questionable moves, poo poo on their HOF QB by not extending him last year, poo poo on their fans, become a laughing stock, it is hard to support these decisions when they are doing what they guess is right and their guesses have been wrong. Especially if they want Brady, that is not giving A.F. about their fans, just hoping to pick up any casual fan, might as well move to London if that's the case.

What could of been a dream has turned into our worst nightmare.
