Clinton Dix is getting cut from every team he goes to now.
we certainly don’t have to do anything
but a veteran for depth makes sense
They only have to be better than meeks

Trey Wingo is reportedly out at ESPN. Wingo, who hosted the NFL draft and appeared on “NFL Live,” has been let go by the network, according to the New York Post.

Wingo, 56, began his career with ESPN in 1997. Wingo most recently co-headlined “Golic & Wingo” on ESPN radio, but asked off the show due to its early hours. Wingo’s co-host, Mike Golic Jr., will move on to host a new ESPN show.

Wingo’s most public role with ESPN came as host of the NFL draft. Wingo was the only in-studio host used by ESPN during the 2020 draft. Every other analyst appeared remotely.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
        The Wasted Decade is done.

Mike and Mike was a good show...and then all the sudden they split, and then Golics kid, who I am not a fan of, is getting pushed on us...and now Wingo is out? ESPN just isn't the same anymore...still solid access for your sports news, but nothing like the good old days. Scott Van Pelt is there main guy...still good, but I remember when he was the new kid on the block, and one of the lesser anchors for sports center.
          The TPB makes plans....

          And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

I kinda feel bad for Josh Rosen at this point. Everyone knew he wasn’t in the Dolphin’s plans, but they waited this long to let him go.

more depth at free safety than 2/3rds of NFL teams...easy to pass up on Earl Thomas given his salary & behavior

                I posted qualifiers re Earl.
King is not the FS you think he is.
We do not play modern football.

Thomas would be our leader for a year.
Jenkins is still wild as a March hare.
                  Nasir is raw.
                  King is no FS.
The depth is good with upsidd, but lacking in a key ingredient or two.

Mike and Mike was good for a long time. But at some point, maybe when they stopped having Curry on and other things, they lost something and because a "schtick" instead of a show. Like Greenbergs "metrosexual stuff" and Golic saying "stop it, stop it" - just got too much for me. And they could be talking about anything and it always went back to football.

But where they really lost me was Golic Jr. He was terrible to me. He talked a lot, had good vocabulary but didn't say anything
I thought Wingo was terrible. He was that sarcastic over the top guy with those takes that were just annoying

I really don't watch ESPN much anymore - its sad. They paid people like Stephen A Smith and others all this money but fired good reporters - I mean GOOD reporters like Jayson STark and Ed Werder

I still want a veteran at safety for depth over Alohi and a UDFA guy.
