The Philly game showed we have other capable receivers. Use all 3 TEs. That alleviates some of the problem you are referring to. Put Ek in the slot. There are things that can be done. We aren't the Little Sisters of the Poor. We do have weapons when used properly

Good point. I sure wish they would pass to Ek more, and I don't mean just those passes in the flats. In fact, I think they overdue those. Use him more on seam passes and a variety of downfield plays. He can make people miss once he's loose in the backfield. I'm not so sure about our TE's though. One over the hill and two are still learning.

I was watching the Georgia Tennessee game this past Saturday and Georgia put the RB (#4 I think, Dalvin Cooks brother if it was, maybe another RB) -- in motion to the right, he got set and the LB followed

Gary Danielson on the broadcast said "the QB knows he has man on man coverage with an LB on a RB"

the RB just did a go - perfect pass by the QB for a touchdown

^ This...in another post, I mentioned how we're not stretching the opposing D enough, so they're moving their safeties up to help take away our short/perimeter game...complete a few long balls, and it opens up the short passes...

We are number 2 in the league in dropped passes. Only the Panthers are worse. Herbert won't be confident when the WRs don't haul it in or get the separation needed. The WRs coach, passing game coordinator, and offensive quality control person need to do a better job coaching the players in that area, and get the WRs to do better.

I was more happier they signed Caraun Reid to add DLine depth probably realizing that Fehoko might be good from the PS but Merrill just might not be ready yet. The DLine with COVID has taken some hits this week.

Yep...must be some red flag with T-Billy...either he doesn't pick up the O, is a hothead or his lack of ST ability, or some combo...but when I think of those long bombs he caught from Herbie last year, with NO DROPS, it sure is a dimension I'd like back on our O...especially to beat those teams stacking the box against us...
