I actualy think from Campbell - I would rather see him cry that say some of the dumb stuff he said. Not sure who the true Dan Campbell is but the other guy seemed like a caricature of a football coach.

Well I’d start with the difference that Ted is a tv character on a feel-good romantic comedy show tangentially and barely about sports, he’s not a real person. Ted Lasso is about real sport like Laverne and Shirley were about brewing real beer.

But then I’d credit Ted on the specifics. Ted had a panic attack flashing back to the memory of watching his dad commit suicide right in front of him as a kid. Thats some mind-fucking shit. That he holds his shit together so well with that life-altering trauma and brings persistent positive vibes for future success despite losing constantly is a great testimonial to the spirit of human hope and perseverance. Ted would never cry over losing a football match, he’d get right up, shake it off with a brave smile, and look to tomorrow like a grown ass man.

Lions coach did cry because they lost a ball game. he cried on TV to the world. What I personally saw was a guy who was crying to the world that he believes his team will never win a game ever … and its his fault.

The hit on Burrow (not the throat one, but the one referenced) was pretty wicked. He was scrambling and got knocked airborne, pinwheeled around and then banged his head on the turf and had two defenders fall on him. I thought concussion right away. In fact, he may truly have been concussed. But they put him back in the game after a few plays. He needs to learn not to do this stuff. And he was 5 yards short of the needed first down anyway, so it was all for nothing.

I'd guess they are happy with Burrow. He is very accurate and they can see better days coming with him at QB.

But, they are probably wishing they had added to their OL.
