But they can get Bo Nix probably at 12 - if not the second round = -- oop they don't have a second round pick as they traded it for Payton
I don't know, will Nix last until 12?

Beats me. If they do secure #4 and take Nix, that certainly puts #5 in play for a QB. I think he could be right about Nix, like someone else posted. He's got a pro arm, a lot of experience, he played very well at Oregon imo. Seems to me the major knock is just his age, I could be wrong. but QBs play until they are 35 now if they are any good. Any GM thats worried about 10 years from now probably won't make it that far.

I posted yesterday I posted that I thought Nix might be better than expected in the NFL. I think Payton could mold him into a successful pro QB, and I'd rather not see that happen.

In defense of Broncos and Raiders, they are in a Division with Mohomes and Hebert. If you had a chance to get a top tier QB would you forfeit a couple of years of high picks? I would sure think about it!. Glad we have JH

I'd go 1st round defense every year, run-first offense and game manager at qb.

Good. Protect the players health where possible. The hip drop tackle has been banned.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

What is a hip drop tackle?

Also, she needs to apply for a name change.

Grab runner with hands on opposite sides of hips, twist your body and pull it into runner with your legs sticking out sideways and drop all your weight on the backs of runners legs. It takes the runners down, but also breaks their legs on occasion.

I think its bullshit. What about all the torn ACLs and Acilles more acelerated from turf? Yet they wont consider that. Shouldnt be an automatic first down either. 15 yards is plenty.
Just another rule for more flag festing that helps teams on a 4th and 25 at the end of game get a first down.

Thats what I fear - automatic first down

Like the dubious illegal contact on 3rd and 13 when you flush the QB to throw early to the right but the WR on the left was touched 6 yards down field

I agree. It creates even more of a disadvantage for the defense. It's total bullshit. The players didn't even want it. They were against it.

                          iirc
it's the tackle that Tuli laid on Stephenson in New England.
