But the Bengals - especially on defense - signed a bunch of players on their second contract in free agency. So its just not experience - its also player in the prime of their career and not the downhill side of their careers

Signing Akiem Hicks and Stephon Gilmore is not going to cut it for Telesco if he wants to get the team over the top.

Also if you sign players on second contracts - you have develop a core that can play together 3 or 4 years. And coincidentally, Herbert has two years on his rookie deal to go plus his 5th year option. So now is the time to build a group

Looks like the Jags can't persuade Byron Leftwich, so they are still interviewing.... Rich Bisaccia this week, and Kevin O'Connell after the Super Bowl. Jags didn't request O'Connell in the initial interview period, so they can't do a pre-super bowl interview.

Reading about the Jags - Leftwich wanted to bring in a couple people, Adrian Wilson and Quarles for the front office

But looks like Baalke keeping his job - Shad Khan might be up there with Snyder

Ya think? Khan is a bad owner as far as decision making.

Colts interviewing Gus Bradley for DC, among other candidates. Probably a clean sweep out by McDaniels on the Raiders staff.

After the Urban Train Wreck this past season, Bisaccia, a true player's coach, might actually be a decent fit for the Jags...

Im glad the Jags, Texans, and Jets reside in the AFC.......and yes I know the Chargers choked one away to the Texans, injuries and covid had a lot to do with it.

Yep...tough to ask some players, just signed off the street, to know our defense...

                    Good
it'll take more time for them to get " their guys" on defense.

Pretty pathetic considering Byron's connection there and the fact that a perfectly young franchise type qb is sitting there.

Curious as to where Byron would want to go.

I think its more Leftwich doesn't want to work with Trent Baalke and for now, the owner is siding with Baalke over Leftwich

Texans had more players out to Covid and injuries than the Chargers did. And the Chargers still couldn't get it done against a team picking near the top in the draft. What a joke.
