    Head Scratcher - Jordan Love

Jordan Love? I am in SLC Utah and he's a Utah State QB. Big arm, very mobile but the Chargers picking him at #6? That is a huge reach IMO. I hadn't realized he was climbing the draft boards like this. I think I would actually be happier with this pick over Herbert. I still just don't see it.

I saw this on 1 of the mocks, too. Sites know they have 2 & 1/2 months before the draft so they may just be trying to stir the pot to drum up interest. If he dropped to late Rd 1 & we go OL Heavy via FA & #6, I'd be ok with trading up for him.

Good Lord - NO! Some team will foolishly draft him on his physical skills and suffer through some brutal times as he never develops into an NFL caliber QB.

He looks to me more like a P. Rivers 2.0
A lot of INTs and no ground gain.
On the other hand, he seems a very beautiful passer.
I see him at IND or TEN.

Professional Scouts, not Dan Patrick nor PFF, have Love at ~ #15 overall.

Does TPB really think the football world is oblivious to Jordan Love's 2019 TD/TO Ratio ?

It ought to give you pause, or at least motivate you to investigate further.

The QB position is changing. It is changing at the Pop Warner level. It is changing at the HS level. NCAA. NFL.

I am pretty open minded about how the Chargers move forward into a new era...trade it all for Burrows, trade a bit for a chance on Tua, take Herbert at 6, take Hurts on day 2...take no one and build the team while giving one year to Taylor...

But Love would seriously piss me off. Watch this years film...when faced with adversity, he doesn't even try to go thru progressions, or play disciplined football...just chucks it into the wind, regardless of coverage. No vision, no football awareness...nothing but an arm.

No Brady, no Newton, and no Love...and I'll be fine with just about anything else we do. Professional Scouts have been plenty wrong before.
                The TPB makes plans....

                And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Some people have a Love/Hate relationship with themselves.

I look at as, what if Love and Burrow swapped coaches, let alone teams, what might the results look like? I think Tua drops beautiful bombs but so does Love. The problem for Love is reading the underneath stuff when he lost his deep threats. Can't reading be taught at the pro level?

Look at throws on highlight tape @ 2:25 and 2:50. Most QB's can't make those throws. That's why some scouts love him so much. I like Love... just not in the 1st round. And certainly not @#6. 2nd round....? Maybe. Depends on who else is there. The QB class is 6 or 7 deep this year. Good year to draft a QB.

Swap coaches, swap OL, swap WR's, swap RB's... If you want to see Love throw underneath routes, go watch his 2018 tape. BYU tape is a good one.
