TPB's Quarantine GM's Mock Draft Review

    Miami Dolphins

Round 1/5: Derrick Brown DT Auburn
Round1/18: Jordan Love QB Utah State
Rd 1/26: Xavier McKinney DB Alabama
Round 2/39: Isaiah Wilson OT Georgia
Round 2/56: Josh Uche EDGE Michigan
    Rd 3/70: C Edwards-Helaire RB LSU
Round 4/141c: Damien Lewis OG LSU
Don't look now, the Dolphins may do the biggest turnaround in NFL history. Brian Flores says it starts with a top notch defense. Passing on Tua and Herbert will be a defining moment. Think Derrick Brown plus Christian Wilkins at DT. CW was VERY good as a rookie BTW. The totality of these circumstances allow Love to develop slowly, like Patrick Mahomes. Love at #18 is not the same as Love at #5...or #6. BTW part 2. Dolphins still have picks #153, #154, #173, #185, #227, #246, & #251.

    NY Jets

Round 1/11: CeeDee Lamb WR OK
Round 2/48: Jaylon Johnson CB Utah
    Round3/68: Darrell Taylor EDGE TENN
Rd 3/79: Ben Bartch OT St Johns MN
Round 4/120: Ben Bredeson OG MICH
I am actually quite pleased with what I did for the Jets. CeeDee is such a baller. Do it for Darnold ! No OT at #11 / Why ? Cause Fant and Chuma. That's why. These picks all address screaming PON's. Late picks can go for TE, RB, S. Depth.

    Green Bay Packers

Round 1/31: Justin Jefferson WR LSU
    Rd2/62: Marlon Davidson DL Auburn
    Round3/94: Albert Ok'bunam TE MO
Round4/135: Joe Bachie LB MICH ST
Aaron Rodgers to Justin Jefferson AND Davante Adams...uh- oh.
Aaron Rodgers to Speedy Albert Okwuegbunam, deep down the middle...uh-oh.
Gimme some D, says citizen owners of the Green Bay Packers.
I guess so, says Matt LaFleur/Brian Gutekunst.
    And no more PEDs Bachie.
No more small talk about legalized assault and battery, Marlon.
Late rounds must address depth at several positions.

    Recap of the 3 teams.
My pretend GM picks were a guess based off a combo of bpa, pon, scheme and the coach.
I leaned more physical high effort prospects for Bill & Mike and fast athletic prospects for Bruce. Will be interesting to see if any of these picks become great players.

    Bucs
    Wirfs-OT, Iowa
    Taylor-RB, Wisconsin
    Duvernay-WR, Texas
    Ojemudia-CB, Iowa
    Jennings-Edge, Alabama

    Vikings
    Epenesa-DE, Iowa
    Delpit-S, LSU
    Elliott-DT, Missouri
    Madubuike-DT, Texas A&M
    Robinson II-CB, Tulsa
    Proche-WR, SMU

    Patriots
    Gross Matos-Edge, Penn St.
    R.Davis-DE, Alabama
    Biadasz-OC, Wisconsin
    Willekes-Edge, Michigan St.
    Keene-TE, Virginia Tech
Who has it better than us?

Dolphins....I would say great draft, but for Love. Biggest risk in the draft, including Tua, to be a bust. Dolphins should stay put and take one of the top 3...same as us. But under your scenario, where you assume the Fins really like Love, they had a good draft.
The TPB makes plans....And Jim Harbaugh laughs...

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB, Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT

        Fire away all GM's !!

Analysis will follow re Dolphins, NYJ and Packers.

I've got to hustle on a time critical delivery right now.

You've got plenty of splaining to do re our beloved Chargers.

          Excellent work wood.

          Fins...
New ORG, ORT with physicality and upside. Nice!
CEH will be invisible behind the new right side.
QB could be the best of this bunch.
DLine with 2 explosive pieces that compliment each other and a versatile secondary piece to replace Fitz.

          Jets....
Love D. Taylor. He’s going to tear up the NFL!

            Jaxsonville Jaguars

1-9. Javon Kinlaw, DT / S. Carolina. (just what they need on their IDL)
1-20. Trevon Diggs, CB/ Alabama (Lost Bouye and Ramsey, no brainer)
2-42. Jacob Eason, QB / Washington (Minshew, stinshew....they need competition and more talent)
3-73. John Simpson, OG / Clemson ( IOL needs a boost and he will really help the run game)
4-116. Gabriel Davis, WR/ UCF (Big body WR and they can cut loose oft injured Lee if they choose and save 5+ mill)
4-137. Colby Parkinson, TE /Stanford (They signed Eifert who is injured often and is Meh quite frankly, O'Shaughnessy coming off ACL tear and Oliver didnt produce)
4-140. Davion Taylor, OLB /Colorado (Depth and a talented player, will challenge for a starting role)

            Atlanta Falcons

1-16. K'Lavon Chaisson, Edge/ LSU ( Beasley they let walk, underperformed after a strong rookie year and the D was near bottom in sacks)
2-47. Noah Igbinoghene CB/ Auburn (They need big time CB help )
3-78. Malik Harrison, LB / Ohio st ( defense needs boosting all over and think he really helps them at SLB)
4-119. Antonio Gibson, RB/WR/ Memphis (Gurley has been wearing down and Gibson is electric though will maybe play more WR but has great vision, reminds me of Marshall Faulk)
4-134. Jake Hanson OC / Oregon (Mack is nearing 34 and last year of his deal so need some grooming behind him)

            Indianapolis Colts

2-34. Jalen Reagor WR /TCU (This guy is a player and great return man...Rivers needs more weapons)
2-44. Terrell Lewis DE, / Alabama ( Has had some injuries but very productive and Indy needs to bolster their pas rush)
3-75. Harrison Bryant, TE / Florida Atlantic ( Ebron moved on so Indy replaces his production to go w/ Jack Doyle with a very athletic TE who is a good blocker and can do many other things)
4-122. Khalil Davis, DT / Nebraska (Colts GM loves DL so w/ the addition of Buckner they get some needed depth or a future starter next to him)

              Chargers

              1. Tua Tagovailoa QB Alabama
              2. D"Andre Swift RB Georgia
              3. KJ Hamler WR/KR Penn St.
              4. Logan Wilson LB Wyoming

First, I'll defend my picks now, instead of responding to praise and criticism from each member...picking for the Bolts, I am obviously in the hot seat...

General: I didn't go the way I wanted...I based my picks off of BPA, need, and what I think the Chargers would do. Myself? I am actually very open minded about this draft...Tua, Herbert, Simmons and Hurts, Simmons and no QB, OT, BPA....it's all good. Just don't trade up, and don't take Love in the first...and I think I'll be OK. New era folks...gotta keep an open mind.

              1. Tua...yea, it's a risk. He might really be brittle...or did those stupid ankle surgeries, which he only had cuz he was playing for Nick fucking Saban, cause his body, while healing, to leach valuable calcium from his hip and sacral area, causing weakness there? By the way...steroids will do the same damn thing, just ask Bo. Sit the kid for a year, let him heal properly...pro diet and training...and you might have the next great signal caller. Going into new stadium and new era, the team needs a new face. Tua would be a good one. So yea...if he is there, I think the Bolts pull the trigger.

              2. Swift...I think TT and Lynn are gonna live....or die...by the run the next few years. Whether it's with Tyrod or a rookie, it all hinges on the rushing attack...and all we have right now is JJ and Eke. Not a bad tandem, but if just one of them goes down, we are fucked...and JJ hasn't proven durable yet...and Ekelor is much better as a flexible weapon, 3rd down back, and change of pace back. As important as the run game will be, and you have one of the best players in the draft fall to you in the second? I think the Bolts would go for him or Taylor here.

              3. KJ Hamler...I surprised myself here. I don't like players under 185 pounds at any position...even kicker...but holy crap, this kid is a marvel...and I tried to think like TT. Super speedy weapon to take the top off defenses, and a much needed return specialist...and in the 3rd? This is a little late for Hamler, so some good value...depending on which board you are using. I am sure some teams dropped him way down due to size. Maybe he doesn't make his whole rookie contract...but if he does break...I bet he makes some head turning plays before he craps out...if he craps out...I bet the Chargers think he is worth a shot.

              4. Logan Wilson...I thought it very interesting we visited with this kid at the Senior bowl...and then also made it out to his pro day at Wyoming, where there is literally no one else worth looking at. I also thought it interesting that 21 other teams showed up to the same pro day for an apparent 3rd day pick? By all accounts this 240 pounder tested well athletically...but plays even faster...which is probably due to instincts and football intelligence. Floor is quality backup and special teams player...ceiling is eventual QB of the defense, and anchor for the LB corps.

Honestly, I tried to emulate the Chargers....that isn't my draft at all....but I think it reflects what TT and Lynn would do...and honestly, if Tua actually pans out...and Hamler is as tough a 175lbs as they say he is...that could be one hell of a draft...historic, even. We'll see....

Packers seem to always stock up on talented WRs.
Jets need help all over and got some talent there. Probably did better than their GM will do lol. Im gonna give that draft an A+

I believe you when you look at players from TTs point of view and decide we have enough OL to survive the season. Its sad but true.

You're the only other person besides me that thinks Bo Jackson was on steroids. And I say that because avascular necrosis is a side effect of steroid use. Plus Bo was a superman and God doesn’t make supermen.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.
                  The Wasted Decade is done.

Nice for TB ,Brady likes. Finally has a trio of good WRs and OJ at TE.

Was targeting Eason in the 3rd but he was gone.
I considered Love in the 1st but he was gone, so went defense. And I do think Bill is likely going with Stidham.

Flip Hamler and Wilson and this could very well be the Bolt’s actual draft.
