Member of Chargers Tests Positive for COVID-19

Report: Member of Chargers tests positive for COVID-19

    ReutersApril 15, 2020, 11:27 AM PDT

One member of the Los Angeles Chargers has tested positive for the coronavirus and two others have shown symptoms, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.
Per Schefter, Chargers owner Dean Spanos, general manager Tom Telesco and head coach Anthony Lynn were not included in that group.
"Everyone is doing well and is on the road to recovery," team spokesman Josh Rupprecht said.
Per Schefter, the person diagnosed with the coronavirus came approximately two weeks after the Chargers' offices were closed on March 12. The team has been operating with essential staff only until March 17.
As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 2 million people around the world had been diagnosed, with over 130,500 fatalities, according to Johns Hopkins University.

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Why would they let that kind of information out?

Reports are that L.A. mayor is thinking about not allowing concerts or sporting events until 2021. If that happens, then other mayors, at least of big cities, will likely follow. I sure hope that doesn't have to happen. Ugh. That would suck.

I have heard that nationally, concert promoters are almost unanimous in their thinking that they are holding off till at least spring of 2021. The liability for the promoters and the venues is just too high until then. Hopefully sports will at least go on in empty stadiums, but IMO there is no way they are going to let 50-100K people in a stadium in just a few months.

I’m still holding on to my Sepultura tickets for a show in SD that is “suspended” going on about a month now.

My Hamilton tickets were refunded when LA show was canceled. Very disappointing.

Two are showing symptoms and all are on the road to recovery? There seems to be a disconnect in the time line there.

come next Thursday it’ll be “leaked” that the person affected is Brian Balaga, prompting GMs to think we’re taking a tackle.
                    then BAM
Tua holds up a Chargers jersey

                    ...
                    idk, good question

Hopefully he won’t injure himself further lifting the jersey
