If I am not mistaken, I read that Pass Pro may be a work in progress.
This will let Ekeler shine at RB/Slot and even Justin Jackson at COP.

. he is a really good all around RB in that he has good receiving skills and is actually one of the better pass pro RBs. where did you read he is lacking in pass pro?

From these highlights, he hits holes fast. Looks better than Gordon, TBH. May be a steal in the 4th.

Plus he’s got the body type and speed to be a core special teamer. That’s all I expect from Day 3 picks.
Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

Dane Brugler's 95th ranked player (14th best player available in Day 3).
            95. Joshua Kelley, RB, UCLA (5-11, 212)
Kelley is an attitude runner who won’t go to the ground easily, maximizing each time he touches the ball. More quick than explosive, he doesn’t have dynamic make-you-miss skills and must become more reliable in pass pro. Overall, Kelley isn’t a joystick athlete and might not be great in any one area, but he is a well-rounded back with the competitive drive that helps translate to football production.
Also his favorite running back left on Day 3:
            Running back

Day 3 draft pick: Joshua Kelley, UCLA
It is easy to like Kelley’s run style. He is an attitude runner who might not have great make-you-miss skills, but he darts through creases and stays balanced at contact. He is never content as a runner and takes care of the football, offering any-down potential.

Good rotation guy. Not afraid to go through the junk. Needs to cut back on the hurdling though.. haha

Loved him at the Senior Bowl, showed his value as a runner and pass catcher plenty of speed too. Love the pick didn’t expect them to draft a RB this high but glad they got Kelley.

RB was a need so nice pick. Now they have a good 1-2 pucnh and hope he is more of a downhill runner than Eckler. Though they are decent, there is no way we could have gone into this year w just Eckler and Justin Jackson as our RBs
