  • Welcome K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State

    Pre-Draft Analysis

Hill is an undersized slot receiver who is smooth with average burst getting in and out of breaks. He's an instinctive runner who shows the ability to make the first defender miss after the catch. He lacks deep speed and will never be a vertical threat. Hill was pound-for-pound one of the toughest players on the Ohio State team. -- Steve Muench

Los Angeles Chargers: K.J. Hill, WR, Ohio State - A+ Grade
I look forward to Charlie Campbell's Why the Slide on K.J. Hill because he could've been chosen in the third round. He's a great route runner, so I wouldn't be surprised if he makes an NFL roster and contributes sometime soon despite being a seventh-round pick.

Good slot guy , more quick than fast. Ohio st all time leading WR so glad we got 2 WRs out of this draft. Good value for him but he isnt a burner at all. We kinda missed that boat to match our division but Reed has some speed. Not a good leaper. Had only a 32" vert

                      CBS: A-

Hill lacks speed down the field and has a tiny catch radius. But he knows how to beat press at the line and is a master route salesman at the short-to-intermediate level. (Chris Trapasso)

He seems like a shorter Keenan Allen.
