Crazy, I was just talking to a friend over the weekend (from six feet of course!) that I am really excited for this new era to begin! New stadium, uniforms and players. I am probably more excited about the potential of this team, this season and over the next few seasons, than I have been in a while. I love Phil, will always love Phil but it was time to move on, for him and for the organization. It's a bit refreshing to not be bound to one player and have the freedom and flexibility to acquire more assets. Bring on the season!! GO BOLTS!I'll ride the wave...where it takes me.

I don't think Rivers ever truly was a liability for the Chargers from a cap perspective. The Chargers chose - and I am not saying it was the wrong decision - to be more prudent than say the Saints are But I will say Herbert and the value of his contract will be beneficial the next first four years of his contract.
As for the Chargers - I am very excited for the team. New uniforms, agree that it was time to move on from Rivers - and hoping to see a "smashmouth run the g-damn bal"l type of football on offense with a "fast get after some a**" defense.
