In the group I used to go to - for people with mental illness - there was a woman my age (53) that was just completing her chemo treatment and she had a bandage over her heart for exactly what you are talking about. Before reading what you described here I thought it was directly related to the cancer site itself but apparently it's more likely a port site to deliver the chemo (area for the pick line). She's fully recovered now. I expect the same for you too.

Why the pick line to the heart? I know it's for chemo treatment but why?

It has grown through the muscle wall of my bladder and into my near by lymph nodes but not further. Technically a stage four, but not as bad as other kinds of stage four cancer is the way my oncologist put it.

That sounds like relatively good news. At least for stage 4. Cool!

What exactly will they do on Monday? And being stage 4 does that mean you have cancer in other parts of your body?

I had blood in my urine so I saw a doctor. He tested me for prostate and kidney cancer negative, had me see a uralogist who found a tumor, biopsy confirmed, cat scan followed. Pick line Monday...

But its stage 4. So its spread somewhere. Or came from somewhere else. Stage 4 means it metastasized.
