NBA off-season

Since most of this was being discussed in the draft thread...just all things NBA this summer.

What will LeBron do?
Where will Melo end up?
Who are the Lakers looking at? (Melo, Lance Stephensen, etc...)
What will happen with Kevin Love?
Chris Bosh to Houston?

It's definately going to be an interesting week or two.

I read a tweet from someone that said the NYK are nervous about Carmelo, because he didn't inform them that he was coming back yesterday...they thought they would hear on Monday.

I'm tired of waiting for LeBron.

Carmelo, Bosh, etc... all waiting on his choice.

The Lakers in particular are being held up...because of their strong pitch to Carmelo.

If Carmelo does go back to NY, as reported... I do think the Lakers will wait for Love for next year. Which means another year of horrible BB to watch, as a Lakers fan.

I don't think so. I think they start to build the team that will support whatever move they make in 2015.


I could see them going after guys like Monroe, Lance Stephenson, Isaiah Thomas, Ariza, etc…

Monroe I like, but he's not great.

Lance Stephenson is ok, it would depend on how big a contract he got. He's certainly an up and comer.

Not a fan of Isiah Thomas...I'd rather keep Nash for a year and Kendall Marshall.

I'd love to have Ariza back.

Right now the roster is: Nash, Kobe, Sacre, Marshall, Randle and Clarkson.

So definately need a couple of Small Forwards, and Bigs.

Thomas would be the one player I think is most likely to be signed. Followed by Monroe. Ariza and Stephenson would probably have to sign 2 year deals.

Also a sign and trade with Gasol might be something that gets a good return for the Lakers
