Good WR, but only one ball to be shared among many good skill position players.

            Good morning.

ESPN NFL Insider Mike Sando catches up with former St. Louis Rams receiver Torry Holt, asking him what young receiver he likes currently in the NFL.

Holt tells Sando his favorite receiver is San Diego’s Keenan Allen.

“He is definitely one of the most polished young guys, no question about it,” Holt said. “You can tell Philip Rivers trusts him because Keenan knows what to do at that position. He has incredible balance, awareness, control, understands zone and man concepts, catches with his hands, is real technical with his route running, can lower and raise his hips when he needs to, attacks the football, has very good size, is not overly fast but knows how to use his speed and plays fast, he knows how to set you up.”

ESPN NFL Nation Chiefs reporter Adam Teicher writes that Rivers has noticed Kansas City’s defense using less exotic pressures up front. The result has been the Chiefs giving up less explosive plays. (http://espn.go.com/blog/kansas-city-...chiefs-defense)

Nate Silver of FiveThirtyEight calculates San Diego’s odds of making the playoffs at 81 percent. (http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/n...-playoff-odds/)

Chris Wesseling of NFL.com names Rivers No. 5 on his list of players he would select as a cornerstone to build a team around. Andrew Luck is No. 1. (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...f-cornerstones)

Michael Gehlken of U-T San Diego writes that Ryan Mathews is still working his way back from a knee injury. (http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/...-running-golf/)

Kevin Acee of U-T San Diego says that Malcom Floyd is a one of a kind for the Chargers. (http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2014/...chargers-acee/)

He is the a great WR, but w/so many weapons (Gates Healthy), & add in that he is a very well known coomodity, he is another player maker on a pass catching corps that has many.

Does he have a TD this season?

I'm not complaining as we're 5-1. And he does lead the team in receptions. But regardless of the production elsewhere and his talent, I think you'd have to be lying if you didn't expect him to be featured/doing more by this point (like he showed the second half of last season). No fishing expedition. No beat downs. Just wondering what people think.

No change in my opinion, extremely talented player. Great routes, smooth. His punt return was huge sunday.
