Yes, Celtics fans love to talk about the Gasol trade...but Marc Gasol is a good player.

Who did the Celtics send to the Timberwolves for KG? Danny Ainge and Kevin McHale? They don't seem to mention that so much.

And Jerry West wasn't working for Memphis anymore when that happened.

The fact is, the Lakers need a good draft pick, and a good coach first...then let's see what happens. Even a top 5 pick isn't going to be enough to turn things around next year...but it would be a step in the right direction.

That'd be the best possible option but I just don't see it because of the same reason. I just don't see a game changer being available and I think the Lakers are looking to 2015.

I don't think they can pick 5th, can they? They can end up in the top-3, pick 6 or fall from 7-9. I think 6th or 7th is most likely, but 21% odds at top-3 and 100% odds of butthurt Laker haters if that 21% happens. Fallout will be tremendous.

If they don't draft top-3, will be interesting to see who is available and/or what is offered in a trade.
