Key Observations:
• The 49ers defense looked exceptionally well prepared for the start of this game. They ended their first two series with an interception returned for a touchdown and a 3-and-out, respectively. This was a credit to San Francisco’s game planning.
• Despite losing their starting quarterback in week 3, San Francisco’s offense looked very much in rhythm. The offense was able to push the ball downfield on three deep completions, and was effective in running the ball throughout the game. All of this coming off of the major setback of losing a starting quarterback is a credit to San Francisco’s use of personnel, play calling, and game planning.
