    Ranking the 12 NFL playoff teams

    Then there were 12. The NFL playoff bracket is set, and while there were certainly a few surprise postseason teams, all of them earned the right to play in January. Unlike previous years, though, the field is wide open. It really does seem like any of the 12 teams still standing can go on a run and lift the Lombardi Trophy on the first Sunday of February in Atlanta. However, that doesn’t mean the seedings are irrelevant in each conference. Here are our NFL power rankings heading into the 2019 playoffs. 1. New Orleans Saints (13-3) The Saints are a powerful team, but the best thing they have going for them in the playoffs is home-field advantage. During the Sean Payton-Drew Brees era, the Saints are 5-0 at home during the postseason. On the road, they are 1-5, with the most recent defeat the excruciating loss at Minnesota last year in what is now known as the Minneapolis Miracle. Even at 39, Brees is what makes the Saints go.
