    KJ Wright predicted to sign with Chargers by The Athletic

    On Thursday morning, Sheil Kapadia of The Athletic Philadelphia posted his predicted landing spots of the NFL’s top-50 free agents. Among those free agents, the Chargers were paired with former-Seahawk linebacker KJ Wright and their own free agent defensive tackle Darius Philon. Wright, one of the only remaining members of the 2013 Super Bowl squad, missed most of the 2018 season due to a knee injury. But when he is healthy, the 29-year old is still one of the best coverage linebackers in the NFL. According to Pro Football Focus, Wright allowed an average of 0.63 yards per cover snap and just a single reception every 13.0 cover snaps. Here is what Kapadia had to say about the pairing: With the obvious Gus Bradley bread crumbs connecting the two sides, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Wright donning the Bolt next year.
