Saints retain WR Meachem with one-year deal (The SportsXchange)

The New Orleans Saints re-signed veteran Robert Meachem to a one-year contract on Friday to provide depth at wide receiver. Meachem has spent most of his seven-year NFL career with the Saints. With starting receivers Marques Colston and Kenny Stills returning for the Saints in 2014, Meachem likely will compete with Joe Morgan, Nick Toon, Andy Tanner and a possible draft pick for playing time.
