Michigan Football will kickoff the 2017 season on September 2 at AT&T Stadium against the Florida Gators. Between now and then we will preview each position group and project the starters. The first edition of the series will focus on a new-look offensive line.
As I’m sure you have heard by now, the Wolverines will be replacing three long-time starters this year. There are a lot of variables for the coaching staff to consider as they search for the five best linemen to fill out the positions. Mason Cole is a surefire starter. The question with Cole is will it be at left tackle or center? Ben Bredeson, who as a true freshman started the final seven games last season at left guard, can also be penciled in as one of the five starters.
Projected starters
