WSU police recommend felony charge for USC player

Last season a big upset victory by Washington State over USC in Pullman was celebrated wildly by fans, who rushed the field to celebrate with their team. In the middle of that mayhem, USC’s Liam Jimmons was videotaped decking a Wazzu student, and now he could be facing a felony charge because of it, a year later.Per KXLY.com, the student that was hit has needed two hospital visits for a concussion suffered during the alleged assault.“Because of the seriousness of the injury, WSU police want Jimmons to be charged with felony second degree assault. The case has been turned over to the Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office for a charging decision.”Jimmons, a redshirt freshman last year when he allegedly attacked the student, has played in five games for the Trojans in 2017. The Whitman County prosecutor’s office isn’t expected to come until next week, at the earliest, per College Football Talk. The University of Southern California has yet to issue a statement on the matter.
