Well, this college football weekend just got a lot more interesting. That’s right, football fans. Unranked, seven-loss Pitt just stunned the Miami Hurricanes. And in doing so, likely ended their playoff hopes. As for Badgers fans, y’all better hope they win out. That means defeating Minnesota on Saturday, and Ohio State in the Big Ten Championship. Of course, that’s far from a guarantee.In fact, assuming any of these teams will win out is dangerous at this point.Last season, Pitt would also knock off then-No. 2 Clemson. However, both the No. 3 (Michigan) and No. 4 (Washington) teams in the country would lose in the same week. We’ll see if that ends up being the case for Miami.Then again, No. 3 Clemson takes on No. 24 South Carolina—IN South Carolina. As for No. 4 Oklahoma, they take on West Virginia—at home. Meanwhile, this opens the door for No. 6 Auburn, who host No. 1 Alabama on Saturday. There are scenarios aplenty, but right now Miami is only hoping for help.Help they shouldn’t have needed.
