Reigning Heisman winner Baker Mayfield and the Oklahoma Sooners dropped a heartbreaker to the Georgia Bulldogs in the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day. The double-overtime loss prevented Mayfield’s career in Norman from being extended one more game. It also ends one of the most interesting college football careers in history.On the field, Mayfield proved himself to be among the best college quarterbacks in the recent history of the game. He ended his senior season having put up 4,627 passing yards with 43 touchdowns and just six interceptions.A transfer from Texas Tech, Mayfield will now turn his attention to the NFL Draft as a legend in Oklahoma.But there’s still a whole heck of a lot to look at here outside of his capabilities on the football field.A fierce competitor, Mayfield drew widespread criticism for his actions against the Kansas Jayhawks during the 2017 season. It led to him being benched to open the following game. And it will lead to further questions about whether Mayfield’s temperament on the field
