    UNC football players suspended for selling team-issued shoes

    The North Carolina football program announced Monday that 13 players will face suspensions during the 2018 college football season.The suspensions stem from players selling team-issued shoes, which the school self-reported as a secondary NCAA violation.As shared by 247Sports, the following players will be suspended: Offensive lineman Brian Anderson, defensive end Malik Carney, wide receiver Beau Corrales, defensive end Tomon Fox, defensive end Tyrone Hopper, offensive lineman Quiron Johnson, linebacker Malik Robinson, quarterback Chazz Surratt and offensive lineman Jordan Tucker will each sit out four games. Defensive backs Greg Ross and Tre Shaw will miss two games, and quarterback Jack Davidson and offensive lineman Jonah Melton will miss one.Because some of these players play the same position, the school requested and was grated the ability to stagger suspensions.“I am certainly upset by our players’ actions and how their choices reflect on them, our program and the University,” head coach Larry Fedora sa
