Tristan Gebbia appears to have found a new home just days after learning that he lost the battle to become Nebraska’s starting quarterback.Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reports that Gebbia will transfer to Oregon State to play under new coach Jonathan Smith, who recruited the QB hard when he was a coach at Washington. Gebbia learned over the weekend that he had lost the starting quarterback job to true freshman Adrian Martinez and decided by Monday that he would transfer. He was a highly rated recruit coming out of Calabasas, Calif., in high school. He redshirted last season and will have to sit out this season as a transfer. What’s interesting is that Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson Jr. were high school teammates and big-time recruits who committed to Nebraska together. Neither player will end up having played a game for the Huskers.
