Big Ten Network analyst and former Michigan star Braylon Edwards apologized Monday after some very personal criticisms of Wolverine players in their loss to Notre Dame.Edwards called offensive lineman Cesar Ruiz “weak” and quarterback Shea Patterson “scared” in their 24-17 loss to Notre Dame, and he called the overall performance “trash” in a series of tweets. As a result of his direct criticisms, Edwards was suspended indefinitely from his analyst role at Big Ten Network.Edwards apologized on Monday, though he stood by his criticism of the performance as a whole. Edwards has never been shy about public criticism, but he crossed a line by criticizing the character of individual Michigan players. He’s right to apologize here.
