Texas Tech moved quickly in hiring its next head football coach. Less than five days after firing Kliff Kingsbury, the Red Raiders appear to have found a new football coach. Multiple reports say that Matt Wells has accepted the job. Wells is in his sixth season at Utah State and has the Aggies 10-2. Wells took over Utah State from Gary Andersen, who went to Wisconsin and then became a huge bust at Oregon State. Wells, a former Utah State quarterback, has been at Utah State since 2011. Competing in the Big 12 will be a major step up and tough test for him.
