Hugh Freeze could be getting closer to a return to college football coaching. Freeze interviewed with Tennessee for their offensive coordinator position, according to two reporters. Tennessee is looking for a new offensive coordinator after Tyson Helton left to become the head coach at Western Kentucky. Freeze went 39-25 over five seasons as the head coach at Ole Miss. He resigned after it was publicized that he had made escort-type calls while on recruiting trips. Freeze interviewed with Alabama earlier this year but was not hired for the position. Tennessee went 5-7 in Jeremy Pruitt’s first year on the job. The Vols have had six losing seasons in 10 years since Philip Fulmer was fired after 2008.
