Tua Tagovailoa was getting beat up left and right during the SEC Championship Game on Saturday. Tagovailoa was helped off the field in the fourth quarter against Georgia after having his ankle stepped on by a teammate while throwing an incompletion. The sophomore quarterback went down to the ground and was in tremendous pain while getting treated. Junior Jalen Hurts began warming up as Tagovailoa was down and entered the game on second down as Tagovailoa exited. Tagovailoa was already playing injured in the game. He suffered a left ankle injury on a sack in the first quarter before returning. Tagovailoa has also dealt with a lingering knee injury throughout the season. CBS later reported that things did not look good for Tagovailoa, whose shoe, ankle tape and sock were off while he was treated in the medical tent.
