Despite a lot of talk over the course of the season, the Lincoln Riley door to the NFL looks to be shut for this offseason. According to Alex Marvez of SiriusXM, Riley is expected to sign a contract extension with Oklahoma, essentially ruling out any chance of him leaving for an NFL job this offseason. Riley was primarily linked to one team in particular, but that chatter faded pretty quickly when it became clear that the Oklahoma coach just wasn’t interested in making the jump right now. He’ll be back with the Sooners next season aiming to improve on this year’s successes.
