    Dabo Swinney shares thoughts on whether Clemson is a dynasty

    After they defeated what appeared to be one of the best teams in college football history to win their second national title in three years on Monday night, Clemson is officially the powerhouse everyone thought Nick Saban’s team would be. But if you want to call the Tigers a dynasty, their head coach isn’t going to agree with you. At least not yet. While speaking with the media a day after his team’s stunning 44-16 win over Alabama, Dabo Swinney said Clemson is a “long way from a dynasty.” He did, however, talk about how proud he is of the consistency the Tigers have shown. Alabama seems to get all the headlines, and there was a good reason for that for a large portion of the season. Clemson had an uncertain quarterback situation and struggled in a few games early on, while the Crimson Tide were demolishing opponents at a record pace.
