NFL quarterbacks are going to have a very difficult time running away from Montez Sweat. If they didn’t already know how fast the former Mississippi State star is, they certainly will after the performance he put on at the NFL Scouting Combine on Sunday. Sweat, who measures 6-foot-6 and 260 pounds, recorded the fastest 40-yard dash time of any defensive lineman in combine history. His blazing 4.42-second sprint sent the internet into a frenzy. That’s only a slightly slower 40-yard dash time than the one that boosted a star wide receiver’s stock over the weekend, so the fact that it was posted by a defensive lineman is truly remarkable. Sweat has a great chance of going in the top 10 of the NFL draft.
