Football recruiting is a roller coaster. Less than three months after announcing his commitment to play for the Kentucky Wildcats, 2020 defensive tackle Lamar Goods has now decommitted and has reopened his recruitment. Goods is a four-star defensive lineman that is ranked as the No. 30 defensive tackle in the country, according to 247 Sports composite rankings. He currently has offers from Florida, Georgia, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia, among others. The main threat at this point is Florida, as he had a visit down there this weekend and is getting predictions in the 247 Sports crystal ball. While Kentucky fans should feel good about the recent wave of commitments and have faith when defensive coordinator Brad White is handling a recruitment, like he was for Goods, Dan Mullen getting face time with the Canadian native could not have helped Kentucky’s situation. Originally from Canada, Goods is currently playing his high school ball for St. Thomas More High School in Oakdale, Connecticut. H
