Referees miss blatant holding penalty on LSU touchdown pass

Auburn and LSU fans will have plenty of complaints to make about the officials during Saturday’s game between the teams. LSU scored its lone touchdown of the first half on a 20-yard pass from Joe Burrow to Terrace Marshall Jr. early in the second quarter. CBS showed a replay and pointed out there was a blatant holding by LSU guard Austin Deculus that the referees missed. Auburn was called for nine penalties for 55 yards in the first half, compared to six for 53 for LSU. That was a definite penalty by LSU that the officials missed. Auburn came back and scored a few possessions later to take the lead before LSU tied it at 10 before the half.
