Buffalo RB Jaret Patterson sets school single-game rushing record in less than three quarters

Buffalo Bulls sophomore running back Jaret Patterson has delivered some jaw-dropping performances this season. He made his big games look like pedestrian performances with a record-setting day on Friday. The sophomore’s historic day started on the first carry with an 81-yard touchdown run against Bowling Green. It set the tone for an unthinkable first half with 272 rushing yards and five touchdowns in two quarters of action. Patterson returned from the break with history on his mind. It didn’t take him long before he sped past Jordan Johnson’s single-game record of 282 rushing yards. The fact that Patterson accomplished it in less than three quarters made it even more stunning. After rushing for his sixth touchdown of the game to open the fourth quarter, Patterson now sits just 129 yards shy of surpassing Samaje Perine’s FBS single-game record for rushing yards in a game (427). Even if he falls short of that mark, this is a performance that fans will never forget and a school-record that might not be touched
