Justin Herbert took a shot to the head from Utah’s Bradlee Anae early in the third quarter of Friday night’s Pac-12 Championship Game. Oregon was leading 20-7 and had a third down situation. Herbert was lined up in shotgun and moved up, leading his center to snap the ball even though the quarterback was not prepared for it. The ball went past Herbert, who was able to recover it near the goal line. He took a shot from Anae, who smothered him: No penalty was called on Utah for Anae’s shot. Herbert remained in the game and led Oregon on a field goal drive their next possession.
