    Report: Ryan Day told Mike Yurcich to look for another job

    Mike Yurcich was officially announced on Sunday as the new Texas Longhorns offensive coordinator. Normally you might think Ohio State would be sore about losing its passing game coordinator, but that might not be the case. Bucknuts’ Dave Biddle reported on Sunday that Ohio State head coach Ryan Day told Yurcich to look for another job. “Multiple sources have told Bucknuts that OSU head coach Ryan Day informed Yurcich it would be in his best interest to look around for another job. One source said succinctly: “Yurcich is difficult to work with and rubbed some people the wrong way.” If those at Ohio State had a tough time working with Yurcich, Tom Herman does not seem worried. The Longhorns head coach praised Yurcich in a statement as someone who “stood out.” Yurkich, 44, was Oklahoma State’s offensive coordinator from 2013-2018 and spent the past season with Ohio State as their quarterbacks coach and passing game coordinator.
