Trevor Lawrence has been so impressive to start his college football career that many can’t wait to see him play in the NFL. Some think he’s already so good that he should consider sitting out his junior season to avoid injury, that way he can protect himself for the 2021 NFL Draft. While such a suggestion seems like a stretch, Lawrence has taken at least some measure to protect himself. According to Stadium’s Brett McMurphy, Lawrence has a $5 million insurance policy that covers permanent total disability if he is unable to play in the NFL. Nobody wants to see Lawrence have to cash in on the insurance policy. In order to do so, he would have to suffer an injury so severe that he would never be able to play in the NFL.
