Since 2000, the University of Georgia has had 108 players selected in the NFL Draft, which ranks seventh among all college football programs. Of those 108 players taken, 19 heard their name called in the first round, which also ranks seventh. Mark Richt was the head coach in Athens for a majority of the draft picks, with Kirby Smart taking over in 2016 and continuing to produce first rounders. Georgia has had some future NFL superstars go in the first round, including wide receiver AJ Green, running back Todd Gurley, defensive lineman Richard Seymour, linebacker Roquan Smith and No. 1 overall pick Matthew Stafford.
