It means that after the Top 8-10 players, the next 50 or so are all closely rated.

So it's a draft that's deep, but not deep in ELITE talent.

Yes, it does, especially in the top 10. I thought the Chargers might be in position to capitalize on a trade with a team that wants to move up. But now I'm not so sure. They may end up picking at No. 17.

You just never know. Schefter has been wrong so often lately he could just be a mouthpiece for a team trying to use him for their advantage.

My hope is still - trading back in R1 - unless the perfect player (meaning a top 12 player on the board). It does seem what I have read this is a very good Day 2 draft so getting an extra pick might be nice

If Cross is there, grab him!
Otherwise, I'm going McDuffie( he'll be there....???)
I'd be happy with Dean, Lloyd, Wyatt, Davis( ALL guys that could come in day 1 and contribute to our D)
If TT does the impossible (i. e. trade back) I'd be open to one of the G's( Johnson or Green). The extra pick on day 2 would give us a chance to grab that defender we missed in the 1st, that could help immediately( BOTH S and LB positions up for grab!)

Trading back with which team? That is the question.

We've had one trade up - New Orleans.
Typically, there have been a few more.

I don't suddenly expect that sort of activity to get going on draft day.

Maybe, trade up in late round 1 to get one of the two stud rbs: Breece Hall/Walker

Now, if you excuse me, I have some Charger memories to suppress.

                      Daxton Hill, DB, Michigan

His versatility will free up Derwin to fully unlock Staley’s vision for this defense.

Yea...not a great year to be picking top ten. The top tackle prospects are solid...but not as good as Sewell, or even as good as Slater turned out to be, and we got him at 13. Garret Wilson isnt top ten in most drafts, but he will go there. Stingley and JW might be top 10 talent, but they are scratch and dent prospects that may net full price....and no QBs to drive up pick values for trade backs....even the Jags, picking first, have to settle for a prospect who, though I really like, should fall between 3 and 8 in most drafts, by my reckoning.
                        Adopted Bolt: Kimani Vidal RB

Final prediction: Latham OT, Colson LB, Sainristil CB,Rice WR, Zinter OG, Nourzad OC, MacLachlan TE, Vidal RB, Lovett DT
